We have some great news to share with you. During the last PC317 meeting held in Paris, it was accepted to create a liaison between PDP4E and the international standardization group ISO/PC 317.
The ISO/PC 317 group is in charge of standardization efforts, including the confection of studies and propose new standards, in the context of privacy by design for consumer goods and services. In particular, ISO/PC 317 is currently working on a new standard ISO/AWI 31700 which will not only enable compliance with regulations, but also establish the foundation for generating greater consumer trust through the protection of goods and services.
Thanks to this liaison, PDP4E members will be able to participate in the discussions and understanding the progress of the standard in advance to its publication. This will be a great opportunity to disseminate PDP4E outcomes at a larger and influential audience, and to understand how privacy engineering can be integrated into the protection of consumer goods.
